The Fair Farms Project is a collaborative effort between the Agricultural Justice Project (AJP) and the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA). AJP was born from the shared vision of immigrant farmworkers and community-scale farmers to create a food system rooted in fairness and justice. Meanwhile, since its founding in 1979, OEFFA has been dedicated to fostering a sustainable future where organic farmers thrive, local food strengthens communities, and farming practices protect the environment.
Together, with Bent Street Films, AJP and OEFFA produced this documentary leveraging their shared commitment to fair, ecological farming. Through initiatives like the Food Justice Certified program and a wealth of knowledge and resources, these collaborators aim to support farms and food workplaces in achieving rigorous social standards that prioritize equity, sustainability, and community impact.
